How to Earn Our Highest Rate: We've made earning your rewards super simple. In fact, you're probably doing most of these things already. To earn your rewards, simply do the following activities on your Kasasa Cash account each monthly qualification cycle:

  • Have at least 10 debit card purchases post and settle (ATM withdrawals do not count)
  • Have at least 1 direct deposit, or Automatic Payment post and settle
  • Be enrolled and agree to receive eStatements

That's it! And if for some reason you don't qualify one month, your account is still free and you'll still earn our base interest rate. You can get back to earning your full rewards the very next monthly qualification cycle.

*APY=Annual Percentage Yield. APYs accurate as of 12/3/2024. Rates may change after account is opened. Minimum to open is $1.00. If qualifications are met each monthly qualification cycle: (1) Domestic ATM fees incurred during qualification cycle will be reimbursed up to $20 and credited to account on the last day of monthly statement cycle. ATM refunds are automatically transferred to Kasasa Saver each statement cycle. (2) Balances up to $25,000 receive APY of 3.30%; and (3) balances over $25,000 earn 0.50% interest rate on the portion of the balance over $25,000, resulting in 3.30% APY – 1.05% APY depending on the balance. If qualifications are not met on Kasasa Cash, all balances earn 0.10% APY. Qualifying transactions must post to and settle to your Kasasa Cash account during monthly qualification cycle. Transactions may take one or more banking days from the date transaction was made to post to and settle account. ATM-processed transactions do not count toward qualifying debit card transactions. This account is intended to be the account holder's primary checking account in which automatic deposit/withdrawals and day-to-day spending activities occur. This includes, but is not limited to: grocery, gasoline, apparel, shopping, dining, and entertainment transactions. Commensurate with the spending activities identified above, we expect the accounts debit card to be used frequently throughout each month and for transaction amounts to reflect a wide dollar range. Small debit card transactions conducted on the same day at a single merchant and/or multiple transactions made during a condensed time period particularly near the end of a Monthly Qualification Cycle are not considered normal day-to-day spending behavior. These type of transactions appear to be conducted with the sole purpose of qualifying for the accounts rewards and thus will be deemed inappropriate and transactions and will not count toward earning the account's rewards. Iowa State Bank reserves the right to determine if the account is being maintained for a purpose other than day-to-day, primary use. Account holders who persist in making debit card transactions in a calculated and limited fashion in order to meet their monthly qualifications may have their account converted to a different account or closed. “Monthly Qualification Cycle” means a period beginning one day prior to the first day of the current statement cycle through one day prior to the close of the current statement cycle. Transfers between accounts do not count as qualifying transactions. Limit one account per SSN. ATM receipt must be presented for reimbursement of an individual ATM fee of $5.00 or higher.  Kasasa and Kasasa Cash are trademarks of Kasasa, Ltd., registered in the U.S.A. Member FDIC.
